Elf-Children is a small race resembling much like the children of Elves, except for having larger noses and ears. They look really pretty and have blond, brown or red hair. They are generally sympathetic, hearty, and generous, and also they like a little too much jokes; they can turn into formidable enemies yet. Although not really all of them are good or chaotic in alignment, lawful elements are absolutely unknown so far. Their lifespan is roughly the same of Half-Elves.

Elf-Children wear long-pointed hats with a side feather, pointed shoes, and often a leather armor also. Their most common weapons are the Elf-Child Bow, dagger and knife. At war time round shields, chain mails and even (but very rarely) helms are employed as well; sometimes short swords and pole arms are used as two-handed weapons.

Elf-Children main weapon is the dreadful Elf-Child Bow. This is a very short (1½ foot) special bow that employs special arrows: heavy metal stings with high piercing power and side revolving blades causing 1-12 hit points damage.

Due to size and complexity, Elf-Children only are able to build these bows and to use them with proficiency; sting-arrow production, furthermore, is a secret of their weapon makers.

Sting-arrows are neither compatible with any other bow types nor with crossbows, as this causes them ballistic problems. When short of sting-arrows, elf-child bow can employ normal arrows (providing they are sufficiently small), acting thus in all respects like a short bow.

Elf-Children have ultravision into darkness, and the following abilities: Move Silently 62%, Hide in Shadows 49%, and Hear Noise 30%.

For every 10 Elf-Children met, 1 is 2nd level; for every 20, 2 are 2nd level and one is 3rd.

Elf-Children dwell into small villages at woodlands, where they live of hunting and breeding. Each village has 100-1000 people; half of them are females and 10% are children.

Typical populace includes:

1 Illusionist for every 500 people (level 1st-7th);
1 Bard for every 333 people (level 1st-7th);
1 Druid for every 333 people (level 1st-7th);
1 Multiclass for every 250 people (level 1st-7th);
1 Ranger for every 100 people (level 1st-5th);
1 Thief for every 100 people (level 1st-7th);
1 Fighter for every 2-3 people (level 1st-5th).
1 War Dog (watch) for every 50 people;
1 Wild Dog (to be mounted and for hunting) for every 25 people;
1-2 goats and/or gooses for every 1 people.

Allowed multiclass combinations are: Fighter/Illusionist, Fighter/Thief, Illusionist/Thief, Fighter/Illusionist/Thief.

Elf-Child abilities are determined as follows: Strength 2d6 +1d3, Intelligence 2d6 +6, Wisdom 2d8 +2, Dexterity 3d4 +8, Constitution 1d4 +3, Charisma 2d6 +6.

Elf-Child can be a Player Character race also. Abilities can be determined as above, or with the usual systems; in this latter case, the following modifiers apply: Strength -2, Intelligence +2, Dexterity +2, Constitution -2.

Weapons and armors are limited to: knife, dagger, short sword (two-handed), hand axe, pole arms and staffs not longer than 4' (two-handed when longer than 2 feet), dart, elf-child bow, sling, small shield, leather armor, scale mail, chain mail.

Elf-Child manufactured leather armors are not encumbering, whilst metal ones reduce movement by 1".
