Appearance: These small creatures are often mistaken for lemures or squirrel monkeys. Upon closer inspection, one will notice the obviously humanoid legs, arms, and opposable thumbs. They are usually brown, gray, or black, and have large dark amber eyes. Their facial features strongly resemble a bat or foxes, and a row of pointy sharp fangs usually stick out slightly past their lips.

Combat: The Tree Squeek is not often in combat, and rely mostly on speed and fleeing to stay alive. They can rapidly scratch their target with their forpaws, and have strong jaws that can pry open large nuts. The only reasons a Squeek might fight is to protect their young, or during mating season. Because of its agility and small size, squeeks are very hard to hit. If in a group, they will often gang up on one creature get a few hits in, and flee back into the forest to regroup. They will not disappear for more than a round before they reappear, harrying another foe from behind.

Habitat/Society: The Squeeks usually live in small communities of about twenty or so. They build large nests in tall trees, where they raise their young, as well as store a small supply of nuts and fruits. When a village is threatened, the Squeek males visciously attack the intruders. If more than a third of their group is destroyed, they will run away from their nests, trying to lure the enemy away. the females will automatically start grabbing their young, and any food stores they can carry, and flee from the nests.

If a Squeek is found alone, it is a very shy creature, avoiding all other creatures if possible. They can sense good being, and occaisonally will approach a person of good alignment out of hunger or curiousity. If a person is injured, there is a 20% chance that a squeek will drop small fruits and grubs nearby the person, usually from the safety of a tree.
